Musings from the experimental kitchen of Les Trois Enfants: Mom calls and asks, "If I buy filet mignon will you cook it?" The result is sliced medium-rare filet over a bed of rice with ponzu sauce, sesame seeds and fresh garden vegetables. Left overs become a steak and eggs fried rice, with chopped filet mignon and a poached egg on top. Cruising the fridge for what to make for dinner a few nights later, turn the Hillshire farm gouda and green apple chicken sausage into pan-seared sausage with crispy sweet potato french fries and fresh green beans drizzled with olive oil and sea salt, with red pepper coulis sauce for dipping. Planning our first soire, a Ladies Supper Soire for the lady friends who were so much help over the first week of August. You know who you are, expect your invitations in the mail by early next week.
